4 Days and 3 Nights in Marrakesh, Morocco: Our Amazing Adventure
Marrakesh was one of those places that surprised us in the best way. From colorful markets and beautiful palaces to the peaceful desert and busy city streets, every day felt different. If you are planning a short trip to Morocco, here is how we spent 4 days and 3 nights in Marrakesh, including where we stayed, what we did, where we ate, and some helpful tips.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakesh
We arrived in Marrakesh at night, so we wanted an easy and stress-free transfer to our accommodation. Before our trip, we booked an airport transfer through GetYourGuide, which made everything very simple. Our driver was waiting for us at the airport, (normally, but he is quite late) and we were taken directly to our riad in the Medina.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The riad is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan design, creating a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy streets outside.

- Courtyard and rooftop area is under renovated at the time of our stay.
The riad felt like a hidden oasis in the middle of the city. After a long journey, it was the perfect place to relax and prepare for our adventures ahead.

We booked an Agafay Desert Tour through GetYourGuide. Although Agafay is not the famous Sahara Desert, it offers beautiful rocky desert landscapes that look amazing, especially during sunset.

Watching the sun go down over the desert was unforgettable. The colors changed from golden yellow to orange and pink, making it feel magical.
Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket. The desert can be very warm during the day and cooler in the evening.

Highlights of Casablanca
Hassan II Mosque
The most impressive place we visited was the Hassan II Mosque. It is one of the largest mosques in the world and sits right next to the Atlantic Ocean.The architecture is stunning, with beautiful carvings, tiles, and detailed craftsmanship everywhere you look.
Corniche Area
We also enjoyed walking along the Corniche, where you can see the ocean, restaurants, and local life.
The drive between Marrakesh and Casablanca is long, so bring water, snacks, and a power bank for your phone.

Highlights of the Tour
Koutoubia Mosque
The most famous landmark in Marrakesh. Its tall minaret can be seen from many parts of the city.
Bahia Palace
One of the most beautiful places we visited. The palace features colorful tiles, peaceful courtyards, and impressive architecture.
The Medina
Walking through the Medina felt like stepping into another world. Every corner was full of colors, smells, and sounds.
The Souks
The souks were one of our favorite experiences. You can find:
- Handmade carpets
- Leather goods
- Lanterns
- Spices
- Jewelry
- Traditional Moroccan souvenirs
Don't forget to negotiate when shopping. Bargaining is part of the experience. After the tour, we collected our luggage from the riad and headed straight to the airport for our flight home.

Great for lunch while exploring the Medina. The rooftop seating offers amazing views over the souks.

A peaceful restaurant surrounded by greenery. Perfect for escaping the busy streets.
Dar Dar Rooftop
A great place for dinner, drinks, and sunset views over Marrakesh.
Final Thoughts
Our 4 days and 3 nights in Marrakesh were packed with unforgettable experiences. From the peaceful atmosphere of Riad 1954 to the breathtaking Agafay Desert, the impressive Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, and the colorful souks of Marrakesh, every day offered something unique.
